In the early days of the founding of new China (1950-1959), the annual National Day celebrations were held with a military parade. October 1, 1999, the 50th anniversary of the National Day, held a grand National Day parade and mass celebration parade. Since the founding of new China, there have been 15 military parades in National Day celebrations.
